The Dalai Lama, Nobel Peace Prize Winner in 1989, will be visiting Italy on 14 and 15 June, at the Modigliani Forum of Livorno, where he will hold a public conference focusing on the importance of the development of ethics and compassion, and the promotion of human values and inner qualities, also as a crisis-antidote.
This event will gather thousands of Buddhist practitioners and students coming from all over Italy and not only to listen to his words.
In order to significantly reduce the event’s environmental impact, a Sustainability Project was designed. The event organizers searched for ethically oriented partners and responsible suppliers when establishing a waste management plan. This is why Ecozema® biodegradable and compostable tableware will be used during the event.
This Sustainability Project will not be limited to these two days but will continue for the entire month of June at the Lama Rzong Khapa Institute in Pomaia (in the province of Pisa), with a dense schedule of meetings and teachings.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyasto, who lives his life by the standards of simplicity and humility, is without a doubt one of the most outstanding figures of our times, for his extraordinary love for every living being, for his ability to convey constructive messages of tolerance and peace, and for his constant effort to overcome barriers and incomprehension with dialogue and non-violence.
