Six International Cuisines meet in Vicenza: 11th February 2015

infusion300x226Italy’s youngest Michelin-starred Chef, Lorenzo Cogo, had a brilliant event idea: a cooking session where to blend the styles of six different international Chefs, creating flows and connections amid different gastronomic cultures.

The event will take place on Wednesday 11th February 2015, in the evocative Fondazione Bisazza, located in Montecchio Maggiore, near Vicenza, where Chefs coming from Spain, Italy, USA, Brasil, Peru and Japan will alternate in the culinary session to create a multisensory journey for guests.  (altro…)


EXPO 2015: Ecozema, recognized Selected Supplier of Expo Milan

Expo2015-300x226From May 1st to October 31st 2015, Milan will be the location for the greatest event ever held on feeding and nutrition in Italy.

According to the Participant’s Guidelines, all single-use products such as bags and catering items used inside the exposition area must be biodegradable and compostable according to norm EN13432, and Ecozema was recognized as Selected Supplier of Expo 2015, helping reduce the environmental impact of the event.

In a 1.1 million square meters Exposition Area, more than 140 countries and International Organizations are expecting to receive more than 20 million visitors and will show their best innovations in order to have an exchange of ideas and solutions dedicated to nutrition and sustainable development.

Expo Milano 2015 will give visitors the chance to know and taste the best dishes in the World and discover the excellent gastronomic and agri-food industry traditions of every country.

Sustainability is the cornerstone of the “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” theme and it is the value that encourages cooperation of all Participants in order to reduce the environmental impact of the event.

All Exhibitors present at the World Exposition will be able to choose from Ecozema’s entire range of catering products which, after waste collection, will be sent to industrial composting facilities.

In fact, in the entire Exposition Area, waste will be collected just like in the city of Milan: it will be divided into Paper & Cardboard, Glass, Plastic & Metallic Packaging and finally Organic Waste. The goal Expo 2015 set itself is to reach 70% of separated waste collection.


Ecozema, Partner of Cucinare 2015: 14-17 February 2015 at Pordenone Fair

Aftercucinare_300x226 the great success of the first two editions of Cucinare: Per piacere, per Mestiere, Cooking: For Pleasure, For a Living, the 3rd edition of the Food & Wine and Technology for the Kitchen Exhibition is coming and will be held at Pordedone Fiere  from 14th to 17th of February 2015.

Our biodegradable and compostable catering tableware will take part in all the events that will take place during the Exhibition:  workshops, book presentations, cooking lessons and authentic cooking shows held by some of the best Chefs worldwide.

Stars Cooking will be an event dedicated to the International Food & Wine industry where Michelin-starred Chefs, new rising stars and TV cooking shows Celebrities will take part in in front of visitors passionate about cooking and eager to learn new tips and tricks of the trade.

Before these events, during the four days of Cucinare 2015, our biodegradable and compostable tableware line will be presented and explained to the public.

Ingeo™ P.L.A. Drinking Cups: transparent, compostable & customizable

bicchieri plaThey look like normal plastic drinking cups and are perfect to serve beer, cocktails and wine among other cool drinks. However, they are biodegradable and compostable: these are the Ingeo™ P.L.A. drinking cups, a range of biopolymers coming from vegetable starch.

These drinking cups are the perfect solution for serving cold drinks, as they are transparent, light and solid. However,  they can resist only up to a maximum temperature of 45°C.

Ingeo™ P.L.A. drinking cups are available in various formats and are customizable with graphic prints (logos, images, phrases) with up to 4 colors. These prints are perfect for communicating the brand’s commitment to respecting the environment.

Since these products are biodegradable and compostable according to EN13432, they should be disposed of with organic waste. Therefore, we advise you to clearly communicate they are made from Ingeo™ P.L.A. and that they are compostable.

Ra Valles: A Mountain Shelter chooses Sustainability

ra-valles 300x226Starting from this Winter season 2014/2015, Ra Valles Shelter, located in the heart of The Dolomites, at 2475m of altitude, uses Ecozema’s biodegradable and compostable tableware: plates, bowls, cutlery and drinking cups, which, after their use should be disposed of with the organic waste and then sent to industrial composting facilities.
